What I love about traveling and going to new places is seeing with my own eyes that not everyone lives the same way as I do. 👩🏻‍💻 ⠀

That there is a whole world out there that I haven’t seen and experienced yet. 🌎 ⠀

That what seems like a big deal isn’t as big of a deal anymore. That we really do make things out to be bigger than they actually are. 🙃 ⠀

I did a lot of touristy things on this trip, but I also did a lot of non-touristy things. ⠀
⠀
Yesterday, we rode the bus / public transportation to central Lima from Callao, which I think most tourists wouldn’t do. Pretty sure I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t come here with my bf. 🤷🏻‍♀️ ⠀

By the end of the day, I was reallllly sweaty. 😅 But to be honest, I didn’t mind. 🤷🏻‍♀️ ⠀

So now I just have to figure out how I can work and travel at the same time. 👏🏼 I don’t think I’ve touched my laptop for more than 2 hours on this trip. 😬 ⠀

From the outside, it seems glamorous to travel and work - but at the end of the day, they’re still working and I admire them for having found their own balance. ✨ ⠀

It’s embarrassing to admit, but before meeting my bf, I didn’t know Peru was a country. 🙈 ⠀

Last week, he asked if I wanted to go to Peru. One week later, I’m actually IN Peru. And yesterday, we went to Machu Picchu. 🤯⛰ ⠀

I’m so incredibly grateful to have a bf who’s patient and kind AF with me, especially when I’m in one of my moods (which happens way more often than I’d like 😔). ⠀

We’re two completely different people in every way possible. But I’m so glad I met you and have you in my life, @isaac10a. 🙏🏼😘 ⠀

Thank you for all that you do, including taking all 389173 photos of me (including this one) and waiting for me while I walked up and down the stairs slow as a snail. 🤪🐌 And for all the hugs whenever I’m having a difficult time dealing with life. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you don't like the story you're currently living, it may be time to write a new one. ✨ ⠀

I always say "share your story", but sometimes, we need to rewrite ourselves a new story or at least make some edits - especially when the story we've been telling ourselves isn't serving us anymore. 🙃 ⠀

To be completely honest with you, I am incredibly stubborn when it comes to this. ⠀
⠀
But I'm working on it. ⠀
⠀
What I've also learned is that you have to be patient with yourself. It's really not a competition. ⠀
⠀
We are all on our own journey, going at our own pace. And that's okay. 🙏🏼 ⠀

Our lives are constantly in the editing stage, where things need to be formatted, proofread, and looked over. And sometimes, we may want to get rid of a chapter or write a few new chapters altogether. ⠀

Keep writing and stay open to change. ✍🏼
