What often happens when we take a DIY approach or make one of our friends our accountability buddy is that we often become loosey-goosey with our goals and / or we have to depend on the other person to show up and follow through. Plus, a friend is most likely not going to give you tough love when you need it and say it like it is. 

Look, I get it. 

I get what it's like running in your own hamster wheel. 

Trying to figure things out and make sense of it all. 

Listening to everyone else and their advice. 

All while ignoring your own intuition. 

Not trusting yourself. Not being kind with yourself. Wanting to do all the things. 

I've been there. It's exhausting, and you're exhausted. 

There was a time when I couldn't commit to anything. When I just flip flopped from one thing to another. When I had really low self-esteem and didn't trust in myself to follow through with anything. When I lacked patience and compassion. 


But then I realized something needed to change, and that was something was me. 

I needed to change - and once I started on working on that change, I realized I wasn't using my full potential. 

I was being this watered down version of me that I didn't really like. 

So I started journaling and writing gratitude lists. I got honest with myself about what I wanted and more importantly, who I wanted to be in this world. I started becoming more patient because I realized overnight success wasn't real and I wasn't going to buy into it anymore. I started to trust myself that I was going to follow through and take care of myself in the process too. And when I made mistakes? Because let's be real, it happens, I learned to take a break instead of giving up. I taught myself to keep going. 

And most importantly, I started showing up for myself and my life. 


So why am I telling you all of this? 

Because it's time you started showing up for yourself and your life too. 

No more making excuses. 

No more allowing yourself time to complain. 

No more "it's possible for other people but not for me".
